AQUABOXX OPERATION
The dewatering process is simple. There are no mechanical parts to break down and the system does not require skilled personnel to operate. First, polymer is injected into the waste stream, at the discharge side of the pump, and the flocculated sludge is pumped directly into the AquaBoxx. Once the flocculated sludge is in the AquaBoxx the released liquid drains through the filter media, to the drain ports, and the solids are retained within. The filtrate can easily be returned back to the plants headworks. Dewatering time and volume of your waste stream is dependent on the size of the AquaBoxx dewatering system, type of waste stream and percent initial solids.
Once the AquaBoxx is filled the operator simply turns off the sludge pump and the polymer feed system and allows gravity to complete the dewatering process.
